Mark Godsey, JD, is an award-winning teacher, one of the leading scholars on the issue of police interrogations and a nationally-recognized authority on the wrongful conviction of the innocent. He co-founded and directs the Ohio Innocence Project, which has successfully secured the release of 16 wrongly convicted individuals. He has been an active champion of legislative reforms to reduce and prevent wrongful convictions. He is a blogger on the Wrongful Convictions Blog, contributor to Huffington Post and a frequent commentator in the national press such as Larry King Live, Dateline NBC, CNN, ESPN, BBC, Forensic Files, Court TV and American Justice. He has served as an Assistant US Attorney for New York and has represented indigent criminal defendants before the US Court of Appeals in the Sixth Circuit.
